Title: Quality Engineer/Inspector

Description: Reporting to the Quality Manager the Engineer/Inspector will complete goods inwards, in-process and final inspection. Will review and recommend in process improvements and liaise with relevant internal departments to ensure that the customers specific QA requirements are complied with.

Minimum Requirements: Engineering background (Mechanical/Pattern making), BTEC or equivalent experience, IT proficiency, conversant with Microsoft Word, Excel. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications. Knowledge of composite processes is desirable but not essential.

  • CMM experience
  • FARO experience is desirable
  • Ability to inspect using standard engineering measuring equipment

Title: Project Engineer

Description: Reporting to the Engineering Director, the ideal candidate shall support the company's production and sales departments by generating estimates, planning documentation which includes bills of materials, and works manufacturing instructions. They will also liaise with internal departments, customers and sub-contractors. The applicant shall have good communication skills, a highly motivated approach and problem solving abilities as well as working to tight deadlines. The applicant ideally shall have a comprehensive knowledge of composite materials and processes.

Minimum Requirements: Engineering background, BTEC or equivalent qualification, 3 years experience in composite production techniques, IT proficient (Word, Excel, Project and knowledge of CAD systems) and ability to interpret requirements from engineering drawings and customer specifications.

Candidates shall have: Good inter-personnel and customer interface skills, Background planning/project management skills, Problem solving abilities and good organisational skills.

Title: Planning Engineer

Description: Reporting to the Engineering Director the Planning Engineer shall liaise with internal departments, ensuring that customer requirements are complied with, in a cost effective manner. In summary the generation of Bills of materials, Work Instructions and Engineering Data packages for issue to the production department and assisting in the preparation of estimates, quotations and proposals.

Minimum Requirements: Mechanical Engineering background, BTEC or equivalent qualification, 2 years experience in production techniques (ideally composites), IT proficient (Microsoft Word, Excel) and ability to interpret requirements (materials and process) from engineering drawings and customer specifications. Knowledge of composite processes is desirable but not essential.

Candidates shall have: Good inter-personnel skills, background planning/manufacture, problem solving abilities and good organisational skills.

Title: GRP Laminators

Description: Must be a proven laminator working with various resin systems, with experience in open mould processes and ideally, in resin infusion. The candidates shall be self-motivated and able to work on their own initiative. Ability to produce and achieve production required standards and timescales.

Title: Trainee Laminators

Description: We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who are able to work quickly and accurately, show initiative with a positive approach to new tasks. The successful applicants will be guided by a skilled technician in our Huntingdon facility. No previous experience necessary, but should be able to demonstrate manual dexterity.

Title: Composite Trimmer/Fitters

Description: The individuals shall demonstrate a high level of problem solving skills, together with the proficiency or working to timescales. The ability to understand engineering drawings is desirable. Working with GRP and Carbon fibre composite components, the candidate shall be required to fit and assemble medium/large structures.
